Divers from Bijela managed to find the body of the driver who broke through the protective wall with the official "trade wind" (PG DG 242) early in the morning and landed in the Morača river in the town of Dromira, near Podgorica.
It is the official vehicle of the Hipo Alpe Adria Group.
The body was found downstream from the accident site, and divers from Bijela searched for the driver for almost four hours yesterday without success.
The car was noticed by workers of "Crnagoraput" in Morača.
According to "Vijesti" unofficial information from the police, it is assumed that the vehicle was driven by bank employee Saša Lapčević (40).
According to the same information, he was moving from the direction of Kolašin, when for unknown reasons he lost control of the vehicle, hit a rock on the right side of the road and, from the force of the impact, crossed over to the other side of the roadway, broke through the protective wall and landed in the swollen river.
"At the Dobrakovo border crossing at 3.19:XNUMX a.m., the entry of the 'trade wind' into Montenegro was registered. The officers at the border crossing then noticed that only the driver was in the vehicle and that there were no other persons with him," said a source from the investigation.
Upon arriving at the scene, the investigation team on the river bank found Lapčević's jacket and personal documents.
It is a driver's license and the official ID of the Hipo Alpe Adria Group.
Since the car ended up in the river, and there was no sign of the driver, divers from the Diving Center in Bijela were hired.
The leader of the diving team, Danilo Mijajlović, told "Vijesta" yesterday that they came to the town of Dromira at around 12 o'clock after being called by the police.
"The car was visible and it was in the middle of the river. A team of four divers first searched the car, after which it was determined that there was no body in it. We waited for the elevator to arrive, which, by order of the investigating judge, with our help, pulled the trade wind out of the river," said Mijajlović.
He explained that after that they continued their search.
"The search of the area around the place where the car was located lasted until 16 pm. We did not manage to find the driver," Mijajlovic said.
