The races for the Alpine Skiing Women's World Cup, which were canceled in Garmisch-Partenkirchen due to a lack of snow, will be held on January 25 and 26 in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the organizers announced today.
This means that Cortina will host races for two weekends in a row, since women's downhill and super-G slalom were previously scheduled in that Italian center on Saturday and Sunday.
In the overall standings of the World Cup, Germany's Maria Hefl-Risch leads with 781 points, ahead of Austria's Anna Fenninger with 709 and Tina Wejrater from Liechtenstein with 673.
