The Montenegrin police today seized about 20 kilograms of drugs, intended for the Croatian drug market, at the Debeli Brijeg border crossing towards Croatia.
According to the announcement of the Police Administration, police and customs officials found 20 kilograms of skunk in a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Albanian license plates, which is suspected to have been smuggled across the border for sale.
"The vehicle was driven by Albanian citizen A.Đ. (33), while R.Đ. (23), also an Albanian citizen, was in the passenger seat," the announcement reads.
It is stated that A.Đ. and R.Đ were arrested, and the skunk was handed over to the group for the suppression of drugs in Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi.
On the other side, on the border with Albania on the Milješ-Krševo road, near Tuzi, the police confiscated over 100 kilograms of skunk.
