The explosive device was deactivated on the spot, after the occupants of the building's entrance were evacuated.
The arrested Bulatović and Vukašinović, according to the police, are members of an organized criminal group that is believed to be responsible for several murders in Montenegro.
"Officials of the Police Directorate of the MUP - Podgorica Security Center, in continuation of activities on the prevention, prevention and detection of criminal acts that were planned or occurred in the conflict of organized criminal groups, and acting on the basis of operational activities, last night searched the so-called Štek apartment in building in the Old Airport neighborhood and found and seized four ready-to-use improvised explosive devices, other explosive materials, ammunition, a tool for making explosive devices and items that were planned to be used as disguises during the commission of criminal acts. Two persons, LB (21) and DV (35) from Podgorica, were deprived of their liberty. This prevented the commission of criminal offenses with serious consequences. One explosive device was deactivated on the spot. The occupants of the building's entrance were previously evacuated," the Police Administration said in a statement.
According to the police, the apartment was used as a so-called shelter for the accommodation of persons and objects for the commission of serious crimes.
"On that occasion, the following were found and confiscated in the apartment: 1. three improvised explosive cumulative charges with a directional effect, of great destructive power; 2. one improvised explosive device, also with a directional effect, composed of an explosive cumulative charge - armed and ready for use, which the officers Anti-terrorist examination groups of the Police Directorate of the MUP, due to the danger that it could be activated by moving, disabled on the spot; 3. hand grenade marked M52 green in color; 4. detonator capsules; 5. 25 boxes with 25 pieces of 9 mm caliber pistol ammunition each ; 6. a pistol frame with 13 pieces of 9 mm Luger ammunition; 7. tools and parts used to make explosive devices; and 8. several items used to mask faces during the commission of criminal acts - phantoms, artificial mustaches, artificial beards and wigs" , according to the police statement.
The explosive devices found were, as it is pointed out, removed and dismantled by the officers of the Anti-Terrorism Inspection Group, and on that occasion, with the support of the Fire Department officers and the staff of the Emergency Medical Service, the occupants of the entrance where the apartment in question is located were evacuated from the apartment building.
Two vehicles and means of communication were confiscated from Bulatović and Vukašinović.
Along with the criminal complaint, they will be brought to the State Prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
"All confiscated items and objects will be subject to checks and expert examinations with the aim, among other things, of possible connection with previously committed criminal acts," the police conclude.
