Pljeval police officers filed a criminal complaint against fifty-three-year-old Aleksandra Popović from Podgorica to the primary state prosecutor in that city, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of fraud.
Inspectors believe that, at the end of 2012, Popović took 3.500 euros from Miloš Baranin from the village of Glibaći to mediate and find a girl on the territory of Albania, in order to marry her son Milo.
In the application, it is written that, after taking the money, Popović stopped contacting Baranin, despite his numerous attempts.
"I wouldn't regret the money if my daughter-in-law came to my house, and I was left without everything like this, because I earned and collected those 3.500 euros with difficulty," said Baranin.
"She wrote me a receipt that I gave her 3.500 euros for my son's marriage. Also, she wrote that she brought the bride, making up the girl's name, but did not mention her last name, nor the place where she comes from.
She explained to me that she did it so that she could more easily bring the girl from Albania. After the cheating, she stopped answering my phone. I sent her a message that in 10 days I expect her to honor the agreement and come with the girl, or return the money. She replied that she had founded a private agency and that there was nothing I could do for her.
Since she still hasn't brought the girl, nor has she returned my money, I am forced to file a criminal complaint against her. I am asking her to return the money she took fraudulently," said Baranin.
He said that he was forced to turn to Popović in order to marry his son - because they were left to live alone in the countryside, after his wife died a year ago.

Popović said that Baranin never asked her to return the money, explaining that he allegedly gave her "only" 3.000 euros
Popović, who was born in Durrës, is the owner of the agency for marriage mediation "Housewives, get married".
She recently told journalists that she does not know the reason why Baranin filed the report against her, stating that she is in daily contact with him, because he needs to find a girl from Albania for his son.
Popović said that Baranin never asked her to return the money, explaining that he allegedly gave her "only" 3.000 euros.
She pointed out that her agency is registered with the Commercial Court and that she brought her daughter-in-law Mirjana to Pljevljak. However, the girl left Baranina's house after a few days, because she "couldn't live in that family".
"I first found Baranin's son Milo a girl from Shkodër. I took him to Albania and they liked each other there. After a few days, the girl's family called me and expressed their desire to see where the groom lives.
We started, but somewhere near Šavnik, the bride asked us to stop because she won't go to Pljevlja because they are too far. We came back, and I paid 220 euros for the taxi ride. After that, I was in contact with the groom again.
I found him girlfriends two more times, but they didn't like him. The fourth time I found a girl named Mirjana from Shkodra who agreed to go to Pljevlja. She liked the house and the family, so she said she would stay. We congratulated them and I took the agreed money, 3.000 euros, with the fact that I gave 1.500 euros to an intermediary from Albania. After a few days, the groom called me and complained that the girl wouldn't sleep with him and claimed that she hit him.
After several arguments, the bride said that she would no longer live with Baranin and ran away," said Popović.
She states that even after all that, Miloš Baranin comes to her and asks her to bring his daughter-in-law.
Popović claims that in accordance with the contract, her obligations ended when she brought Mirjana.
