Roganović danced to the title

With great tactics as if he had dozens of matches behind him, using the advantage in speed and technique, Cetinje's Dragan Roganović unanimously defeated the staunch Goran Milenković from Serbia (99:92, 98:93, 98:92), for the first championship belt - silver all-Slovenian middleweight champion in the WBC version.

Although he received an average of one light blow during the seven rounds, and on the other hand he convincingly gained an advantage with various attacks, one carelessness could have cost the popular Rog dearly - in the middle of the eighth round, the strong Milenkovic punished Roganović, who needlessly obeyed the crowd's wish to starts an open confrontation.

He landed a right hook, which cut down Roganović, but the Cetinje recovered and kept Milenkovic at a distance with a quick front left direct until the 10th round. Then he frantically hit his rival with a series of punches for the victory, with the ovations of the audience on the Summer Stage.

"I am overjoyed for the title and the way I got it. I was afraid of the length of the match, since I have never boxed longer than six rounds before, but it turned out that four months of preparation with coaches Dejan Popović and Pero Vujović, which was made possible by the mayor Aleksandar Bogdanović, they were not in vain".

"I endured that devastating blow, which I allowed, even though I knew that Milenkovic was a knockout. I was carried away for a moment by the audience's reaction, along with the deceptive helplessness of the rival, who almost took advantage of the only chance".

"Nevertheless, I was much better in nine out of 10 rounds and deservedly reached the belt. I thank the audience for their support, but also my rival for boxing without low and "dirty" punches," said Roganović after his sixth victory in the professional ring. in which there is also one unsolved match.

And the fact that the audience was watching an unusual performance, that is, boxing closer to the fights in Olympic boxing, is confirmed by the fact that the fighters entered the first clinch in the 6th round, after a mistake by Roganović.

He knew how to use longer arms, better and faster movement to constantly hit his rival with left direct shots. Roganović also knew how to often surprise with a right hook or a brilliant left uppercut.

On the other hand, Milenković played on the card of Roganović's inexperience in long matches to take advantage of his fatigue in the final rounds and deliver a terrible blow. And he waited, but Roganović was fresh and unworn and withstood the violent attack.

This is Milenkovic's first defeat in his career, in which he won in all six previous matches, three times by knockout.

Four preliminary fights were also held. Slavko Marković from Podgorica won his second pro fight with a stoppage in the 2nd round, against Bojan Žarkov from Novi Sad in the middle category. Other fights were amateur, in the first pioneer competition there was a draw between boxers BK Podgorica, Stefan Savković and Nenad Marković.

The junior match between Nikola Grgurović (BK Podgorica) and Armin Sinanović (Max, Prijepolje) also ended without a winner, and in the third, Marko Božović settled the fight against Mirza Đuhić from Prijepolje with a brilliant knockout.
