After libero Ivan Rašović and technician Marko Vujović, Milan Marković is the third player of Budvanska Riviera from last year's squad who extended the cooperation (Vojin Ćaćić and Rade Papović are also under contract).
The captain of the "oranges" and the national team of Montenegro signed a new one-year contract.
"I am staying until the end of the Champions League, with an option until the end of the season. I am satisfied, the negotiations did not last long. I am pleased that I will play in the Champions League for another year," Marković told "Vijesti".
Marković grew up in Budućnost, from which, after four seasons, he moved to Riviera in 2000. In his first stay in Budva, he won the title of Yugoslav champion (2001), the first for Montenegrin volleyball, and then two national cups (2001, 2002).
After playing in Greece and Turkey, after a season off due to back problems, three seasons ago he returned to Budva Riviera, with whom he won three double crowns in Montenegro and once qualified for the second round of the Champions League.
Marković hopes that this season, in competition with Polish Rešovija, French Pari volley and Czech Jihostroj, Budva could repeat the success of three seasons ago.
"The group is quite strong, similar to last season. A lot will depend on us, what kind of team we will make. I hope it will be better than last year, so that they can start fighting for the next round," added 33- annual Marković.
