Homeopathy is one of the most widespread alternative methods of treatment. Some glorify her, while others are very suspicious of her results. ˝I was on some kind of education in Belgrade. There I met a doctor who practices homeopathy. "I went out of pure curiosity to have an iris diagnosis," Branko from Nikšić tells Život.
She says that thanks to this she came to know about her health condition, which later turned out to be correct.
˝On that occasion, I also received a homeopathic medicine with instructions for use that were a little more demanding for me.˝
She emphasizes that based on her search for alternative methods of treatment so far, she can say that if the health is seriously impaired, classical medicine is necessary.
˝However, I think it would be best if there was some kind of collaboration, cooperation between alternative methods of treatment, in this case homeopathy and classical medicine.˝
According to homeopath Ljiljana Krgović, people in modern society, in addition to cosmopolitanism, openness towards society and maximum tolerance towards others, have the full right to a complete choice when deciding on everything related to their personality.
˝This includes a larger selection of treatment methods that the community should provide.˝

˝German physician and chemist Samuel Hahnemann lays the foundations of homeopathy. He performed the first demonstration of the effect of the drug in 1790, taking a small dose of quinine bark, after which he developed symptoms similar to those of a man suffering from malaria.
Hahnemann then established the first principle of homeopathy: like cures like.
˝Homeopathy represents a holistic medical system of disease prevention and treatment, or better said the patient, which is used in many countries of the world as a complementary form of health care, parallel to official, conventional medicine.˝
It emphasizes that it is an effective scientific treatment system, which supports the body's natural tendency to heal itself.
˝Homeopathy recognizes that all symptoms of a diseased state are in fact an expression of disharmony that has engulfed the entire being and that it is the patient who requires treatment, not the disease.˝
He says that by respecting the basic laws and principles of homeopathy in the countries where it has been applied for many years, it has been shown that the homeopathic method of treatment contributed to solving health problems in children, adults and the elderly that classical medicine could not adequately respond to.
˝Considering that extremely high dilutions of the drugs are applied and that there is no danger of side effects, homeopathy is an extremely safe method of treatment for adults, children and the elderly.˝
It states that homeopathic medicines are made from natural ingredients of plant, animal and mineral and metal origin.
˝Homeopathic medicines work in such a way that they stimulate the body's own healing power. That is why homeopathy is recommended for pregnant women and for newborns and infants.
He points out that there is no group of diseases or patients in which homeopathy could not be applied.
˝However, if the patient's condition has reached a stage where surgical treatment is required, it must not be postponed. Depending on the existence and degree of irreversible changes, the results of homeopathic treatment can range from minimal to spectacular.
He says that for injuries and accidents, homeopathic substances can be very useful.
˝Even in the case that surgical treatment is indicated, they can be useful in removing pain, stress, shortening the postoperative period and speeding up recovery.˝
It is applied worldwide
˝Homeopathy is widely used in Germany, France, England, and India. It was recognized by the European Union and in the Russian Federation, says Krgović. In most of these countries, the social insurance recognizes the costs of treatment with homeopathic preparations or medicines. ˝According to data from the World Health Organization, homeopathy is the second treatment method in the world in terms of the number of its users.˝
Homeopathy in Montenegro
Krgović says that Montenegrin homeopaths gathered around the homeopathic association in Budva and Nikšić. ˝Members have diplomas from recognized schools. In addition to homeopaths who were educated in the educational centers "Simillimum" and "Hahnemann", there are also homeopaths who were educated in Canada and Germany. In order for homeopathy and other alternative approaches to treatment to be officially accepted and as such to receive the right of citizenship in Montenegro, as she states, the Association of Associations of Alternative Medicine was organized these days.
˝The main goal of the Association is cooperation with the Ministry of Health in the implementation of qualified alternative approaches to treatment in the Law on Health of Montenegro, as has already been done everywhere in the area. This would enable the licensing of practitioners of certain ancient and proven knowledge and their active participation in the health care system of Montenegro˝.
