Montenegrin sculptor Miodrag Šćepanović says that the Ministry of Culture promised to build him a studio 6 years ago, but that everything remained just words.
In 2006, he was awarded the first prize of the Salon in Paris, which was awarded to him for "Security" (sculpture in stone), and in December last year he received the "Michel Dimon" award for the sculpture "Dangerous Shadows".
Šćepanović says that everything was agreed, among other things, with the president of the Municipality of Kolašin, but that everything remained based on promises that everything would be finished "in 2,3 days".
Vajar also says that many have offered him money and help, but on the condition that he says that they are sponsors and patrons.
"They helped me with 300 euros and now I have to throw everything at my feet, my torture," says Šćepanović.
He says he cannot understand why the state favors foreign artists, saying that "probably it will help this Frenchman (Gérard Depardieu) make a movie."
So, because of this attitude towards artists from Cnogorje, Šćepanović, who is highly respected in France, continues to work under the open sky.
