Dragan Nešić, the head coach of the women's senior volleyball team of Montenegro, has announced a wider list of 24 players for the August qualifiers for the 2019 European Championship.
As it was announced from OSCG, "Nešić will shorten the list in the coming period and determine the players who will start preparations on July 16, when the selection meeting is scheduled".
The women will do the first part of their preparations in Pljevlja, while from August 3rd they will stay in Bar, where they will prepare for the August qualifying matches.
The "Reds" will play four games that month, two in "Topolica" from Bar, on the 19th against Ukraine, and on the 22nd against Norway. In the first round, on August 15, they visit Greece, and on August 25, in the fourth round, they play in Norway.
In the remaining two matches of Group C, in January, Montenegro visits Ukraine and welcomes Greece.
For women's volleyball, there will be six groups with four selections each, and the two best from each group will qualify.
The European championship for women's volleyball, which is played in Turkey, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, will also be played by 24 national teams. In addition to the hosts, the eight best from the last EP in Azerbaijan and Georgia already have a visa for the EP - Serbia, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Italy, Russia, Belarus, Germany and Bulgaria (which entered thanks to the fact that Turkey, bronze with the EP, is one of the organizers the next European Championship).
