Obesity kills three times more people worldwide than malnutrition, according to a survey of the state of health in the world conducted in 187 countries and published in the British health magazine Lancet.
In the countries of the northern hemisphere in 2010, obesity was the cause of death for 3 million people, and malnutrition for less than a million.
In the last 20 years, as experts point out, we have gone from a world in which people suffered from malnutrition, to the current state in which people suffer from diseases related to an excessively high-fat and high-calorie diet.
