Dario D. Bjelić (18), his minor brother DB (17) and their friend Milan Radulović (19) from Mojkov yesterday told the High Court in Bijelo Polje that they regret killing fellow citizen Zoran Knežević (46).
They admitted that they committed the crime, but also denied that they did it deliberately and planned.
Dario, however, said that he knew Knežević and that he had heard that the deceased had sold some cattle.
The father of the defendants, Dragan Bjelic, expressed his regret and remorse for what his sons did. He apologized to the family of the murdered, stating that he is ready to help
He hid the knife with which Knežević was killed, as he said, under the bed in his house, and it was handed over to the police after his father reported them to the police.
The father of the defendants, Dragan Bjelic, expressed his regret and remorse for what his sons did. He apologized to the family of the murdered, stating that he is ready to help.
He said that he tried twice to reconcile with that family, but that the Kneževićs refused.
As he explained, he reported his sons to the police because he felt they were hiding something. He said that the sons were good and listened until "this tragic event".
The court issued a decision to perform a psychiatric examination of the defendants.
The main hearing will continue on February 5.
