Eleven-year-old LK, a seventh-grade student at the "Nedakusi" elementary school in Bjelopolje, is recovering from the injuries he received a few days ago when a group of 9th-grade students played a "children's prank" on him in front of the school door.
After three days of hospital care, he was discharged for home treatment, and the doctors recommended strict rest.
A couple of older students from the XNUMXth grade, during the school break, caught LK between them and threw it up several times. At one point, the group of boys separated, and LK hit the concrete with all his might.
"After seeing what they had done, the perpetrators of the incident ran away, but the school's video surveillance recorded everything. His friends brought him motionless into the classroom and tried to make him vomit by washing them. The director was absent that day, and after a few minutes the teacher on duty appeared and took him to the emergency center of Bjelopolje hospital", the mother of the injured boy told "Vijesta".
At school they advised them to keep quiet
She said that the doctors found a concussion, a hematoma in the right eye and several other injuries on the body.
"He was detained for hospital treatment, where he stayed for three days. In the discharge list, the head of the surgical department, Dr. Duško Miladinović, recommended strict rest. Although the incident happened on November 2, my son is not attending classes yet and the question is when will he be able to, because he is required to see a pediatrician and a neurologist. He complains of headaches and wakes up in the evening with hallucinations," said the boy's mother, Milica.
She said that she and her husband talked to the school principal and several teachers, who blamed the students for making rude jokes.
She said that they were advised at school not to talk about the incident, because in that way they would save those children from being kicked out of school.
“As far as we're concerned, we don't want anyone's child to be punished, but it's in the interest of other children that this never happens again. We have informed the relevant ministry and the Education Inspectorate, and we will definitely demand the responsibility of the administration through the legal process," said LK's mother.
