The legendary actor and life couple Milena Dravić and Dragan Nikolić opened the XVII Bar International TV Festival (ITF), which will show 26 programs from 71 production companies from 67 countries until October 33.
The official opening from the plateau of the King Nikola Castle was broadcast directly by RTCG Public Service as a co-producer of the event.
In the race for festival awards are 11 short TV programs, 13 feature films, eight environmental-tourism programs, and three children's and 36 documentary films.
The Festival's selector, film critic Aleksandar Bečanović, said that he was guided primarily by stylization in the selection of films
"ITF is constantly growing, this year we received 222 programs from 162 TV and production companies from 71 countries, XNUMX more than last year," said ITF business director Ljiljana Đinđinović at the first festival press conference at the "Prinses" hotel.
The artistic director of the ITF, Marija Perović, pointed out that this year several newspapers were introduced into the work of the international jury "in order to follow trends".
"The members of the jury have already watched the films via the link in their homes, it remains to add up their ratings," said Perović.
Craft parameters
Otherwise, the jury will address the public for the first time today. Its members are Svetlana Čirkova from Russia, Rada Šešić from the Netherlands, Jeronimo Molero from Spain, Gorčin Stojanović from Serbia and Nikola Vukčević from Montenegro.

The Festival's selector, film critic Aleksandar Bečanović, said that he was guided primarily by stylization and "parameters of the craft" in selecting films.
"I tried to be as objective as possible, without favoring personal taste. It is a good decision that the number of competition categories has been increased for children's programs and short forms, because short forms are ideal for younger authors to improve their craft and to experiment." said Becanovic.
The Ministry of Culture has included ITF in the manifestations of special importance for the culture of Montenegro, therefore ITF Bar is being held this year under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Bar.
