Projection of the film about the life of Marina Abramović

On Monday, October 1, a screening of the feature-length documentary "Marina Abramović: The Artist is Present" will be held in Cetinje.

The film will be shown in the former upper complex of the electrical industry "Obod", as part of the visit of the popular performance artist Marina Abramović to the Capital of Cetinje.

The mentioned production, which was directed by Matthew Akers, and whose filming was supported, among others, by the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro, follows the life and artistic activity of Marina Abramović, including the preparations for the popular retrospective of her work, held in 2010 at the New York Museum modern art.

The projection will be held in the former restaurant hall of "Gornji Obod", with free entry for all visitors

Part of the film was also shot in Montenegro, and it was premiered to the local audience in May of this year, in the Royal Theater "Zetski dom". By the way, the film was shown for the first time at this year's edition of the "Sundance" festival, and later at the Berlin festival, where it won the audience award for the best documentary film.

The screening will be held in the former restaurant hall of "Gornji Obod", with free entry for all visitors, and Marina Abramović will also attend the event. The event will be organized in cooperation with the Capital City of Cetinje and the Ministry of Culture.
