Residents of the local communities Njeguši, Bajice and Bjeloši announced that the conflict, which broke out on September 17 at the entrance to the "Lovćen" National Park, had nothing to do with their months-long protests.
From the Organizational Committee of the locals and the three Municipalities, they reacted to the article in "Vijesti", in which it is written that one of the locals attacked an NP worker during the protest:
The reaction of OO "Vijesti" is reported as a whole:
"The quarrel, the physical confrontation described in the text, has absolutely nothing to do with our peaceful months-long protests and our relationship with the employees of the Lovćen National Park. The described conflict is a continuation of many years of quarrels between the locals of Bjeloš and the workers employed in NP 'Lovćen', caused by their personal and private reasons and relationship.
Unfortunately, yesterday's intervention by police officers is the first in their confrontations, which started a little earlier than our protests. We emphasize that during our protests there was not the slightest incident with anyone, especially not with the employees of NP. This speaks volumes about our mutual relations, which have always been and remain correct, friendly, with full mutual appreciation and respect, understanding the positions we are in.
It is sad that someone who is bothered by our protests and justified demands, wants to abuse the years-long quarrel between two people and by planting another one in a series of falsehoods presented so far, to stun the locals and the Organizing Committee. We know that they have been longing for and calling for conflict to justify their illegal actions and inactions on the state road and private property, but the residents of the three local communities, the Organizing Committee and the NP employees will not afford it.
We are not surprised by them, but we are surprised and concerned by the attitude of the competent state services and authorities, which, even after more than 60 days, do not react to the non-execution of their orders and decisions. That's why, apart from peaceful protests, we will express our attitude and attitude towards all this in a peaceful and democratic way as well", the residents of Njeguši, Bajica and Bjeloša said in a statement.
