The folk-metal band from Novi Sad "Pero Defformero" is celebrating 25 years on stage this year, so the next concerts will be in that spirit. A large number of hits marked the work of this guest worker-hipster band, and about how frontman Goran Biševac Biške sees a quarter of a century on the stage of Per Defformer, he says to "Vijesti":
"For me, these first 25 years flew by quickly. I can only think how it is for the Rolling Stones, who have been on the scene for 40 years and are nearing the end of their career. It's no wonder they only see each other at gigs," Biške joked, adding that the situation is not like that in the band "Pero Defformero".
"We still get along well both at shows and outside of them, and this time in the band is like an identity card. When someone asks me what I've been doing for the past 25 years, I say playing, singing and enjoying myself, because that's what I love to do the most," admits Biške.
He is aware that the band could have achieved more in all these years.
"I think our performance is the most realistic considering that we come from Vojvodina, where people are lazy and slow down. We've often talked about how we're not the type to elbow and push. For all these years, we were active when we felt like singing and inactive when we didn't feel like music. However, regardless of everything, we were persistent, we didn't give up because that's the only way you can succeed", says Biške.
As a gift on the occasion of his 25th birthday, Pero Defformero released the single "Lola", which has an interesting music video.
"We only get feedback on how the audience liked the single from the comments on the YouTube channel. A lot of people laughed watching the video and listening to the song, which was our goal. As our new album that we will release is called 'Music for people without friends', it was logical that there should be a song for guys without girls on it", Biške joked.
All their songs are parodies, and what is the message of this track, Biške explains:
"Plastic is all around us. Ever since the beginning of the 80s, when the Idols released the track 'Plastic', it seems to me that nothing has changed. That trend continued and people seem to have the need not to think about the essence, but only what is superficial that is important to them," says Biške.
