A literary evening dedicated to the poetry of the rebellion will be held tonight at 20 p.m. in Podgorica's Tien Caffe, on St. Peter Cetinjsko Square.

The poets Jelena Nelević, Dragana Tripković and Dušan Đurović will speak at the evening dedicated to poets who created in honor of historical and artistic rebellions and protests. The evening is organized by the Union of Free Trade Unions, MANS and the Union of Students.

As part of the program, the futurist manifesto "A Slap to Public Taste" signed in Moscow in 1912 by Vladimir Mayakovsky and Viktor Khlebnikov, translated from Russian by Jelena Nelević, will be read.

Verses by Mayakovsky, Brecht, Lorca, Mandeljštam, Bukovsky, Cohen, Štulić and others will be heard. In addition to well-known songs with the theme of rebellion, the authors will also read some of their own works.

"Artists who created during the time of rebellions expressed their attitude through their art. That is why the art of such times is usually deceitful and rebellious. The best example of this in poetry is futurism and Mayakovsky as a representative of the direction, who places the meaning of the stanzas in the tribune, meeting, and makes them deliberately rough, original, brash and defiant. Futurism seeks the democratization of art - art should be brought closer to the people and poetry should be taken outside the institutions, into the streets, schools, factory halls and squares. The poetry of rebellion always requires a break with the existing and the initiation of something new and better", announce the organizers.

Entrance to the literary evening is free, but a box for donations will be on display, through which all those interested will be able to contribute to the massing of the upcoming protest.
