A firefighter was seriously injured while clearing snow

Firefighter from Podgorica Žarko Ivanović slipped and fell from a ladder in Gornja Gorica while trying to free the roof of a kindergarten from snow.

Ivanovic suffered serious multiple pelvic injuries during the fall.

Commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, Radomir Pješčić, said that Ivanovic fell awkwardly from a height of more than three meters.

"Ivanović was injured while performing one of his regular firefighting tasks. We hope that he will recover quickly", said Pješčić
