Sena replaces Heifeld

Now it's official – Brazilian Bruno Senna will replace Niko Heifeld in the Renault car this weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa Francochamps.

Heifeld, apparently, did not satisfy his employers in Renault, although the German is currently ahead of the team's other driver, Petrov, in the overall driver standings.

After intense talks, Heidfeld agreed to freeze his contract with a certain financial compensation, and Bruno Sena, who will start on Sunday, will have to prove that he is competitive because he is not guaranteed a place either.

Namely, as a possible replacement for Heifeld, Roman Grosjan is mentioned, who is currently the leader in the GP2 championship, and who, if Sena does not show up after the race in Monza (when he finishes his duties), could take over the wheel from him.

Heifeld took the place of Robert Kubica in Renault in February, who had a serious accident in one rally. The Pole is recovering well, and could return to this year's races, perhaps at the Brazilian Grand Prix, in mid-November.
