Our hair mostly contains the protein keratin, which is located in the very opening of the hair, which is called the follicle. Hair can be curly or straight, depending on the number of disulfide bonds between the proteins found in the hair.
If you have curly hair, there are several ways to take care of it. Curly hair requires more effort to style. First, wash your hair with shampoo and comb out any tangles.
Use a shampoo that matches your hair type, that maintains its moisture. If you wish, you can wash it only with a conditioner or with a milder shampoo, whichever suits you best
To get beautiful curls, shampoo your hair every other day and always use a mild conditioner that you don't need to wash off after applying it to your hair, so you can brush it more easily.
It is very important to find a good conditioner. Find a hair conditioner that provides extra moisture (this type of hair is usually dry and needs extra moisture and hydration). Do not use shampoos that have 2 in 1, i.e. both shampoo and conditioner.
After shampooing and rinsing once, apply conditioner to hair evenly, then comb through. When combing, don't forget to use a brush. Use a wide-toothed comb and comb your hair while it's still damp.
After that, rinse it well, and keep in mind that very lukewarm water is best for this (if you can stand it, of course). After washing, it is good to let the water drain from the hair, and never comb it again.
Avoid rough rubbing with a towel. What you can do is just gently pick up the excess water from the ends of your hair, while still in the shower.
Let your hair dry for about 15 minutes. During this time, do not wipe or comb it. After that, apply a curly hair care cream. Choose a good cream, you will succeed after a few trials and errors.
Spread the cream over your palms and apply it from the tips to the roots, with the fact that it should not be applied to the roots themselves. It is applied to approximately three-quarters of the length of the hair, viewed from the ends downwards. Leave everything for ten minutes to absorb well
After this, you can apply gel or foam for curly hair. Spread them over both palms and apply to the hair with gentle movements. It is important not to rub, but to do everything with light, gentle movements. Let the hair air dry, and occasionally you can lift the hair from the ends towards the roots.
Try setting your hair with lavender and coconut oil. These oils contribute to the fact that the hair does not look too lush, and in addition, they protect the hair from external influences.
If you use a hair dryer, always dry your hair with a hair dryer that has a diffuser and separate strands with your fingers to form curls. However, try to dry it naturally or when you are already drying it with a hair dryer, do not let the heat directly come into contact with the hair, but try to let the warm air pass through your fingers. Apply a little gel or wax on the ends of the hair. It means:
- Avoid hair dryers and dry your hair naturally.
- Do not play with your hair or keep your hands in it.
- Always use a conditioner when you wash it to keep it moist.
- Do not use brushes with closely spaced teeth.
- Choose a hairstyle that you can easily maintain.
- Avoid rubbing your hair with a towel for a long time while drying it.
In addition, there is a method for curly hair called plopping or plunking, which many curly girls say is the best. After it, curly hair looks completely normal and not too disheveled. It's about the fact that after washing with conditioner (so without shampoo) and applying cream and gel for the care of curly hair, it is wrapped in a microfiber towel and kept like that for 20 to 30 minutes, and some girls leave it like that overnight.
