The council of Šefkija Đešević in the High Court in Bijelo Polje sentenced Dejan Žarić (38) from Podgorica to four years in prison for drug smuggling.
Žarić's detention was extended until the final verdict or other court decision, with the explanation that it was a large amount of drugs.
According to the indictment, on January 31, Žarić transported 12 kilograms of marijuana packed in 428 nylon packages sealed with duct tape from Podgorica to Serbia in a "Volvo" model FH 50,5 (PG AS 17) truck owned by "Dream Trans" DOO.
On the same day, around 22.35:XNUMX p.m., at the Dobrakovo border crossing, the police discovered drugs in two metal barrels during a search of a cargo box.
