The former president and judge of the Basic Court of Bar, Zoran Lekić, was acquitted of the accusation that, as a judge in non-litigation and civil proceedings, he abused his official position when making decisions.
The verdict was pronounced by the panel of the Basic Court in Podgorica presided over by judge Nada Rabrenović.
Judge Lekić was charged with two indictments of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, dated November 10, 2009 and January 20, 2010, for having committed the criminal offense of abuse of office while acting as a judge in non-litigation and litigation proceedings. The court found that Zoran Lekić's actions and actions did not have the characteristics of the aforementioned criminal acts.
