The Association of Professional Journalists of Montenegro (DPNCG) expresses its concern about the explosion near the house of our colleague and member of the Board of Directors of the association, Sead Sadiković, and for the umpteenth time demands that the attackers of journalists be prosecuted and the explosions committed to their detriment be brought to light.

"At a time when murders and explosions are taking place in the country every day, the security authorities and the Prosecutor's Office confirm their impotence and ignorance, as well as the fact that the country is losing pace with organized crime. There is also an official ANB document about this, parts of which were previously quoted in the media. Now the events unfortunately confirm that crime has taken off and that criminals have been announcing in recent days every time the security authorities try to threaten them," the statement of the DPNCG states.

The explosive device was activated shortly before midnight in front of the house of journalist Sead Sadiković in Bijelo Polje.

"Colleague Sadiković was the target of threats that he reported to the police because of his investigative journalism, so we expect that she has a minimum of knowledge and ability to find out who places explosives in front of journalists' houses, or the cars of security-interested persons. To the knowledge, work, but also good motives of the police in the prosecution however, there is concern because this month the statute of limitations for the uninvestigated explosion in front of the house of colleague Tufik Softić, as well as the severe beating of journalist Mladen Stojović in his own home, is why we should believe that this time will be different, when even the prosecutors and the police responsible for the failures of previous investigations are never for that punished?", the announcement states.

The DPNCG reminds that they recently asked the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs/Police Administration for information on whether they are implementing the recommendations of the Commission for Investigating Attacks on Journalists.

"We have not received the answers, and the new security developments in the country unfortunately do not even create an atmosphere that journalists will not be a target again or at least collateral damage of the criminals' crackdown. DPNCG will request that a provision be inserted into the Media Act that will oblige the state to effectively and timely prosecutes the attackers of journalists. In cases of statute of limitations and the fact that it is unable to find the attackers and murderers of journalists, the state should bear the responsibility. the right to justice, they have judicial practice to follow the same path", concludes the statement of the DPNCG.
