Athletes from the Podgorica club Sparta, Muhamed Kurgaš and Jelena Kovačević, are the winners of the 18th international ultramarathon at 50 kilometers, which was held today in Podgorica.
Kurgaš won in a time of three hours, 46 minutes and 34 seconds.
Second place went to Željko Milović from AK Nikšić (3:38,57), and third to Stefan Jovanović from Danilovgrad's Garač (4:47,13).
Kurgaš was also declared the most durable man in Montenegro for the year 2018, and he also won the title of champion of Montenegro in the ultramarathon.
Kovačević, who was also the best last year, triumphed in a time of five hours, 11 minutes and 54 seconds.
At the same time, she won the title of champion of Montenegro in the ultramarathon.
Podgorica Marathon member Rada Miladinović was second (5:58,10), while Milka Doderović from AK Sparta finished third (5:59,18).
50 competitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro took part in the ultramarathon race.
The participants of the Podgorica ultramarathon ran next to Ljubović hill, 50 laps, on a track XNUMX meters long.
The ultramarathon was held as part of the Podgorica Running Day event.
Miloš Dragović from the Podgorica Marathon won the seniors' ten thousand meter race with a time of 34 minutes and 32,56 seconds.
Second place was won by Goran Petrić from Rudar Pljevlja (36:31,2), and third place by Petar Drinčić from Sparta (37:13,9).
Slađana Perunović from AK Nikšić won the senior women's competition at five thousand meters with a time of 18 minutes and 21 seconds.
Second place was won by Vesna Pavlićević from the Podgorica Marathon (20:00,0), while third place went to athlete from Budućnost, Jelena Ivković (22:12,0).
