International 50 kilometer ultramarathon, Montenegro 2018, will be held tomorrow in Podgorica.
The Podgorica ultramarathon is being held for the 18rd time, and this year the ultramarathoners will run along Crnogorski Serdara street, next to the Ljubović hill.
The circular course is one kilometer long, and the ultramarathoners will run 50 kilometers for the eighth year in a row.
The time limit for the competition is limited to six hours, so the official result will be valid only for those competitors who cover 50 kilometers during that time.
The ultramarathon will be the official championship of Montenegro, and it is held as part of the Podgorica Running Day event.
As part of the ultramarathon, there are races for students from the first to fourth grade at 400 meters, pioneer girls at 600, pioneers and junior girls at 800, juniors at one thousand meters, senior girls at five thousand and seniors at ten thousand meters.
It was announced that the five and ten kilometer races will be the official road championship of Montenegro, in the competition of juniors and seniors. A throwing meeting will be held in the Tološka forest, in the shot put, for all ages - the Vojo Vračar memorial, in honor of the outstanding Montenegrin athlete. President
The technical organizer of the event is ATK Podgorica Marathon, and it is held in cooperation with the Athletic Association of Montenegro, under the auspices of the Podgorica Sports and Culture Secretariat.
The title of the most durable man of Montenegro is defended by Miloš Dragović, while the best in the women's competition was Jelena Kovačević.
