If you take more frequent short breaks from your desk, you will not only keep your figure but also your heart healthy, according to a new study by Australian scientists.
Even breaks that last a minute or two and include just getting up, moving around the office, room and climbing a few stairs are useful.
This was shown by the latest research from the University of Queensland in Australia. Thus, it has been proven time and time again that sitting is extremely harmful to health. Employees who sit for a long time not only have a wider waist, but also a lower level of good HDL cholesterol.
The research is published in the new issue of The European Heart Journal.
