You should not overestimate the healing power of juices. First of all, they are foods and their influence is not medicinal. You cannot cure disease with juice therapy, you can only help your body.
Fresh juices are a bad choice for some diseases: if you have gastritis or pancreatitis, you should not drink lemon, orange, apple, currant or cranberry juice. They contain many organic compounds, which increase the acidity of the stomach, which causes heartburn and pain.
Consumption of grape juice should be limited by anyone with diabetes. That juice contains too much glucose and calories.
Remember, many fresh juices have laxative properties: if you suffer from diarrhea, you should dilute them with water and drink a little at a time.
In order to get the necessary vitamins, you don't need to drink liters of juice a day. Such experiments can only harm the organism. A reasonable amount is from a few spoons to 3 glasses a day, depending on the type of juice.
There are scientifically based beliefs that juice loses its quality if it is prepared in a blender, because vitamins are destroyed in contact with metal. If you prepare the juice with the help of a classic strainer, the loss of vitamins is still inevitable.
It is better to drink juices 30 to 40 minutes before a meal or during a break between meals. Drinking sweet fruit juices after lunch can increase fermentation in the intestines and stomach and cause bloating.
And one more thing: you must drink fresh juices as soon as you prepare them. Even short-term storage in the refrigerator reduces the medicinal value of the juice, although its taste may remain the same.
