The play "My Daughter", directed by Ana Vukotić based on the text by Maja Todorović, was performed on Friday, March 23, in front of a full hall of the National Theater in Sarajevo.
"This play can relate to all of us. First of all, a wonderful direction, based on very important traditional elements, a traditional Montenegrin story, the problem of a Montenegrin woman, which the director, together with the writer, very skillfully managed to adapt and put it in some connotations of modern dimensions with elements of something even abstract. The director managed to give a humorous touch to this difficult drama, which is not only Montenegrin but also the drama of all of us, from all climates," said actress Irina Dovnik, praising the entire cast of the play.
The writer Ahmed Burić evaluated the play as exceptional, adding that it is a very brave project for Montenegro and our conditions. He especially praised the fact that the life history of King Nikola was placed at the center of this drama.
The artistic director of the Sarajevo National Theater, Izudin Bajrović, also highlighted the way in which the patriarchal Montenegrin society is incorporated in this play.
"One topic that is very interesting, especially because it is processed through the prism of the Montenegrin climate, which is considered extremely patriarchal," he said.
Actress Amina Begović pointed out the importance of opening the topic of women's rights, but also the joy of exchanging performances.
"It gives me great joy that we are exchanging performances, and that we are a bond and a bridge where politicians do not allow us to give," she emphasized.
The director of the Sarajevo National Theater, Marijela Hašimbegović, expressed her special satisfaction with the renewed cooperation between the two theater companies.
"I am personally especially glad that it is a great female director's manuscript. On the stage, with the great interpretation of the phenomenal actors who really gave their all tonight, the reasons why this particular text was awarded can be seen very well. We are happy and proud that CNP and our theater have renewed cooperation and in the future we want to see CNP again here and the Sarajevo National Theater in CNP", she said.
Actor Jasmin Geljo emphasized the excellent acting of the Montenegrin ensemble.
"The actors are great, but I would single out the great performance of my friend Mirko Vlahović. This is a very brave performance with a powerful and powerful message that the ensemble of the CNP brings to the stage harmoniously and impressively".
Actor Ermin Sijamija highlighted the great partnership between Mirko Vlahović and Vanja Jovićević and added that he "loves the CNP ensemble very much", but also that he is especially glad that they made "such a good show".
