As part of the Winter scene of the Bar Chronicle, tonight at 19:XNUMX in King Nikola's Castle, an independent exhibition of award-winning Montenegrin painter Goran Ćetković will be opened. The "Voices of Silence" exhibition, which will be on display for the next month, will be opened by Anastazija Miranovića, art historian and selector of the art scene of the Bar Chronicle.
Ćetković (43) is the laureate of the ULUCG "Milunović, Stijović, Lubarda" painting award for 2016, the plaque of the Tesla Foundation from New York in 2017 and the Annual Award of the FLU Cetinje and the "Spinnaker" Gallery at the final year student exhibition. At this exhibition, in addition to earlier works from previous years, they will premiere large-format paintings created in the previous three months.
"Like from the Oscar-winning "The Shape of Water" by Guillermo del Toro, distraught wet heads emerge from the monochromatic, dark depths, which from some strange dissolution reconstitute themselves, consolidating all inconsistencies into a voice - a cry, a look, a plea, a sob, forgiveness... With striking execution, dynamic alternation of brisk, frantic strokes and fine shading, nuanced transitions, accented details, Ćetković portrays the character of a modern man, evoking the former, forgotten, "real" one. Deliberately sometimes "wrinkled" faces cannot hide character, message, voice. Ćetković's heads are portraits and self-portraits, characters and personalities, in fact, emotions and states and everything that we say through non-verbal communication behind the scenes and masks of smiles and colorful tastes, values, meanings," Miranović wrote in the exhibition catalog.
Goran Ćetković was born in Kolašin, and lives and works in Sutomore, where he is an art teacher at Elementary School "Kekec". He graduated from the FLU in Cetinje in the class of prof. Nikola Gvozdenović in 2000, he has exhibited at a large number of group exhibitions in the country and abroad and is a participant in numerous art colonies.
He exhibited independently in Bar, Herceg Novi, Kolašin, Podgorica, Mojkovac, Kotor, Tivat, Belgrade, Zagreb, Split.
