Radojević: If they were looking for my late father's gun, they should have just called

After the police action "Boka" several locations in Herceg Novi, Kotor and Tivat were searched, Mirko Radojević, a resident of Novalja, whose house was searched, demands to be told on the basis of which information or suspicions the intervention unit obtained an order to search his house and on the basis of which final judgment or document he was labeled in the public as a "criminal" and "arms smuggler ".

He claims that the police told his wife that they were searching the house for weapons and drugs, and points out that at the time of the search he was in Podgorica, where he works in construction.

"As all the Montenegrin media, based on information from the police, labeled me, with my full name and surname, as a criminal, I am also submitting my photo, on the day when the intervention unit in full military gear broke into my house and searched it because, as told my wife, an indication that they would find guns and drugs. At 6am they banged on the door and woke up my family, and my wife woke me up on the phone and asked what I had done. A search found a "vast arsenal of weapons" consisting of my late father's gun CZ765, over 50 years old, for which he had a license and I have a gift agreement made 25 years ago. If the gentlemen from the police had information about that gun, it was enough for them to call me or send me an official letter to come forward. Instead, they send me an intervention squad at dawn and label me publicly as a criminal and arms smuggler," said Radojević.

As he said, it is not clear to him on what basis the police obtained a warrant to search his house.

He said that the proposal for the search was written by the prosecutor Snežana Zeinlagić, and it was adopted and signed by the judge of the Basic Court in Herceg Novi, Andrija Marojević.

"Neither the prosecutor, nor the court, nor the police wanted to give me the information on the basis of which the police break into the houses of honest citizens. Now, from personal experience, I claim that the actions of the police and searches that have been circulating in the media in recent months are nothing but ordinary propaganda! A state that allows itself to mistreat honest citizens sends a terrible message: Every citizen of Montenegro is at the mercy of the services, secret services, individuals who decide our fates and lives. Anyone can end up in prison, anyone can be declared innocent. criminal and drug dealer, everyone can be hit on loved ones, family, children, face, everyone can be robbed of what has been his for generations. On the other hand, everyone in Herceg Novi and all of Montenegro knows, by name and surname, who is involved crime and who deals drugs to children, and we know that the police know this too, but for some reason they cannot stand in the way of it, like us who are smuggling inherited pistols that are half a century old," said Radojević.

He points out that after the search he was invited to come to Herceg Novi to give a statement, which he refused.

Radojević believes that this intrusion of the intervention unit of the police into his house is just another proof that "an individual who lives peacefully and honestly in Montenegro has nothing to fear and that neither his privacy nor his property is protected."

"I fear more and more for my safety.
