The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Mirko Đačić, asked the Pljevlja Basic Court to delay his going to prison for a few days.
This was confirmed to "Vijesti" by the president of the Pljeval court, Radinka Gačević.
She said that Đacic asked for a postponement so that he could attend the forty-day commemoration of his mother on Saturday, March 10.
Gačević said that she has not made a decision yet, but that she will meet Đačić and postpone serving the prison sentence for 24 days, which the court in Pljevlja sentenced him to after he did not pay the fine within the stipulated period.
She could not say for how many days Djacic's going to prison will be delayed.
Judge Ljiljana Popović fined Đačić 600 euros for the threats he sent to his party friend Žarko Vuković on the phone on October 1, 2016.
Given that Đačić did not pay the fine within three months of the judgment becoming final, the fine was replaced by a 24-day prison sentence.
Đacic was supposed to report to serve his sentence on Wednesday, February 28.
The mayor of Pljevlja had to pay 15 euros for the costs of the criminal proceedings and 403,5 euros as a lump sum within 27,5 days of the verdict becoming final.
On October 1, 2016, the President of the Municipality of Pljevlja called Vuković twice from his phone, threatening him: "I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill you like a rabbit, I'm going to liquidate you, I'm going to tear your head off, where are you when I come to tear your head off p...o one". On the same day, ten minutes later, Đačić drove his vehicle in front of Vuković's house in the Radosavac neighborhood and through the open window of the vehicle addressed Vuković's wife, saying "I have nothing to do with you, what an idiot husband you have, I will tear off his head, I will be his fate, and not Joksimović".
