The jubilee of the "Vladimir Mijušković" Literary Association from Nikšić - half a century of existence and work - was marked with a round table and a literary evening.
Poet Spasoje Bajović reminded the audience that half a century ago, a group of young poets from Nikšić stood "under the banner of the famous Montenegrin writer Vladimir Mijušković, to go through the stormy field of poetry with a poem as the only defense against all adversity." Community members, together with the Municipality, started the Nikšić Literary Meetings, established the awards "Zaloga", "Vito Nikolić", "Spasoje Pajo Blagojević" and "Radule Željko Damjanović", together with the Cultural Center started the forum "Rade Tomov", opened an art workshop "Reality". According to Bajović, in the five decades of its existence, the Literary Association has published more than 600 and donated around 50 books. He said that the driving literary core of the Community in the second half of the 20th century consisted of five creators: Vito Nikolić, Dragan Radulović, Dugo Krivokapić, Vukman Otašević and Dušan Govedarica.
"Our writers did not create from desolate boredom but from the true depths of the bloodstream. During this jubilee year, we are obliged to publish the novel 'Slippery Hooks' and the Collection of the Book Society in English and Italian from the legacy of Vlad Mijušković", said Bajović and added that they expect the help of the Municipality and the Ministry of Culture, which until now, he pointed out , were with them.
He promised, on behalf of the members of the Community, that they would continue to be "their own on the line of the written word, resolved to search tirelessly for the meaning of duration".
Academician Niko Martinović said that the Community's cultural and artistic mission carries emancipatory and ethical-humanist values.
He pointed out that Mijušković belongs to the group of creators whose achievements from a literary-historical and aesthetic point of view are not adequately valued.
"The author of a multifaceted vocation, storyteller, publicist, playwright, critic, was unfairly bypassed by official criticism, since he occupies an indispensable place in the historical development of Montenegrin literature with his reference work. This disagreement is probably the result of an autonomous poetics inconsistent with the dominant aesthetic recipe defined as modernism and confronted with the canons of realism that Mijušković adhered to," Martinović pointed out.
Dr. Draško Došljak said that the appearance of a group of authors in the seventies of the last century has "some strong charm of sudden maturity".
"In their desire to last and persevere lies an energetic impulse, a burning rebellion. In that period, one poet, Vitomir Vito Nikolić, dared to move in the world of private pain, in the areas of personal misunderstandings and collisions with a dogmatically rigid world, with a murky reality that, with an irresistible innocence, he did not want, or did not want to accept," he said. Newcomer. Speaking about Vito Nikolić's poetry, Došljak said that it came out of "ancient suffering and a humanly understandable longing for trust".
"Living in an environment where there was never a lack of sobriety, civil distaste for everything that smells of disorder, bohemia and magic, personal adventures, Vito boldly communicated his current sentimentality and bitterly tinged cynicism," said Došljak.
He also touched on the poetry of Vukman Otašević, the "poet of the night", as critics called him.
The two-day program in honor of the jubilee ended with a literary evening. The organizers of the program, which is part of the February repertoire of "Nikšić Cultural Scene 2018", are KZ "Vladimir Mijušković", National Library "Njegoš" and JU "Zahumlje".
Govedarica managed to discover universal coordinates in love
It is almost impossible to talk about the "Vladimir Mijušković" Literary Community and not mention Dušan Govedarica. Došljak said that Govedarica managed to discover in love the universal coordinates of the general structure of the world as a whole, while his high degree of poetic stability is linked to the tradition in which he was formed.
At the beginning of the round table, which was led by Professor Mihailo Perošević, the director of the "Njegoš" National Library, Renata Bulajić, spoke, reminding us of the importance of the Literary Community, which gave birth to many great poets. The evening began with a minute of silence for the recently deceased actor Sreten Mitrović.
