Grahovac after the attack on the US embassy: We should expect more such individual excesses

Retired aviation general Blagoje Grahovac said that he believes that yesterday's case is a classic example of the so-called Vietnam syndrome or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

"The PTST entered the ex-Yugoslav area and it is no longer important whether there were war conflicts in that area or there were no war conflicts. They are not the result of the current political and security situation, but the result of war traumas that were accompanied by poverty, impoverishment, and humiliation of the people," he told "Vijesti".

Grahovac warns that there will be more and more individuals who are in that zone of stress disorder and we should increasingly expect such individual excesses, the consequences of which can be much greater.

The suspect for yesterday's attack was a member of the JNA. Grahovac points out that the JNA had a psychological service that monitored each unit.

From the analyzes of those services, measures were taken to improve the condition of individuals or groups.

Grahovac is sure that the state failed in that case.

"Montenegro has not had armed conflicts on its territory, but the citizens of Montenegro are largely victims of abuse by corrupt authorities.
