Last week, the state pharmacy institution "Montefarm" submitted a criminal complaint against several employees of the company to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica.
The application was submitted after the inventory determined that a significant amount of money was allegedly missing from the cash register of the pharmacy in Rozaj. "Vijesti" sources claim that a loss of at least 17 euros was determined in the Rožaj pharmacy.
According to the unofficial information of "Vijesti", a criminal complaint was filed, among others, against the head of the state pharmacy in Rožaj, Merima Zejnelagić.
"As far as I'm concerned, I don't feel guilty," Zejnelagić told "Vijesta" yesterday.
The spokesman of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Rožaj, Armin Selmanović, told "Vijesta" yesterday that on February 15, the Podgorica prosecutor's office submitted to them the criminal complaint filed by "Montefarm" against several persons for the criminal offense of abuse of official position in business operations.
"In this particular case, for now, I cannot provide information about the allegations of the criminal complaint, the actions that have been taken or are being taken, because they could affect the conduct of the proceedings," Selmanović said.
Yesterday, Montefarm did not respond to "Vijesti" against whom and why they filed criminal charges, how much the shortage was determined by the census and whether the suspected pharmacists are still working in that pharmacy or they were asked not to come to work until the end of the investigation.
Zejnelagićje told "Vijesta" yesterday that she has been on sick leave since last week.
"I gave a statement to the authorities and after that I am on sick leave. For more information, contact Montefarm," she said.
Montefarm, which is managed by Radoman Dragaš, did not want to talk about the alleged shortfall in the cash register of the pharmacy in Rožaje.
"Until the completion of the proceedings of the competent authorities, Montefarm will not make any statements," said the state institution.
"Vijesti" has learned unofficially that the pharmacy in Rožaje was closed on Friday because all employees were invited to a meeting at the Montefarm management in Podgorica.
There is one state pharmacy in Rožaje - Montefarm, and citizens can get prescription drugs in three more private ones that have a signed contract with the Health Insurance Fund.
