Bar Basic Court judge Tamara Spasojević acquitted journalist and editor of the Bar portal portal in4s.net Milenko Jovanović, president of OO NSD Bogić Belo Mitrović and member of GO NSD and secretary of OO NSD Itana Glavanović of all charges today. In the trial, which began on February 28 last year, they were accused, based on a private lawsuit by Resmija Memić from Bijelo Polje, that on the day of the parliamentary elections on October 16, 2016, in the NSD chancellery, they "unauthorizedly interrogated Memić, taking data with a mobile phone - recorded, made a photographic record, recorded her image and thus got into her personal life".
The lawsuit adds that the video was "shown to third parties and published on the YouTube channel" as the film "Operation Luxembourg", and that "it was misused and can continue to be used for any purpose without the consent of the plaintiff". Mitrović, Glavanović and Jovanović immediately rejected the allegations from the lawsuit, stating that they had not done anything illegal.
"The basic court passed the only possible verdict in the proceedings against Bogić Belo Mitrović, Itana Glavanović and me as a journalist of IN4S, a portal that exposed one of the biggest robberies in the history of Montenegro in the last 20 years, i.e. during the reign of Milo Đukanović. The plaintiff is one of the hundreds caught in mass vote-buying by the DPS, and instead of trying the actors of vote-buying, with a deliberate exchange of theses, the culprits were declared victims, and the alleged culprits were those who discovered the biggest election robbery in this century," Jovanović told portal Vijesti.
He added that the goal of this trial "which was generated from the DPS headquarters" was to discredit both the media he works for and the DF "as the largest opposition structure, in whose premises the controversial recordings were made". At the request of Judge Spasojević, the expert for forensics of digital evidence previously failed to determine the exact time of publication of the video in which Memic appears, who has been living in Germany for years.
Jovanović previously announced that on election day 2016 he was engaged as PR DF, and that he spoke with people who came from abroad to vote for DPS, "and saw how they were looking for DPS offices with the intention that that party would pay them money for voting." .
"Purchased DPS voters mostly ended up in the DF office by mistake, because it is right next to the DPS office. I considered it my professional, moral and human obligation to inform the public what was happening, because I was informed that since the early hours of the morning are massively buying votes in favor of the DPS, and that several dozens of video attachments have already been made to prove it. The leaders of the DF allowed me to report from their offices, and during the day, I found, there really was a mass buying of votes in favor of the DPS, that the young activists of the DF completely openly, without hiding, filmed with their mobile phones and tablets. by hand," Jovanovic said.
