Montenegrin sailor Milivoj Dukić at the World Cup regatta in Miami took the 15th position in the general ranking in the Laser class. Our second representative, Igor Les from Tivat, finished the competition in 58th place.
"On the last day of qualifying sailing, I sailed well in all three regattas in a strong wind. I sailed quite well from the very beginning of the regatta, but there were a couple of unforeseen things that happened, so it looked quite bad. In the end, I am satisfied with what I achieved, because I ended the regatta with good sailing and thus opened the season with a solid result", said Dukić, as reported by Radio Jadran.
In Miami, more than 500 of the best sailors from 50 countries of the world competed in ten Olympic classes.
It was the first real test for the world's best sailors in the Olympic classes in 2018.
The first qualifications for the Olympic Games in Tokyo will be at the World Championship, which will be held in Aarhus, Denmark, in August.
