The German Reichhard Freitag is the winner of the ski jumping competition, which was held today in Engelberg, Switzerland, for the World Cup.
Frejtag was the leader even after the first series, and he won with jumps of 137,5 and 135 meters, for which he received 286,4 points. It is his third victory of the season, eighth overall in the World Cup.
Frejtag won in Nizhne Tagil and Titis-Neustad this season.
Pole Kamil Štoh was second with jumps of 137 and 133 meters and a total of 274,8 points. Austrian Štefan Kraft won third place with jumps of 137 and 134 meters, for which he received 274,7 points.
Norwegian Johan Andre Forfang finished in fourth place (133,5 and 135,5), German Markus Ischlenbihler was fifth (133,5 and 132), and his compatriot Andreas Velinger was sixth (134 and 134).
Frejtag is the leader in the overall ranking of the World Cup with 550 points. Wellinger is second with 399, and third is Danijel Andre Tande with 356 points.
