The announcement states that during the implementation of the project, researchers and whistleblowers had the opportunity to attend expert lectures held in the "Red Commune" Memorial House in Petrovac (JU Museums and Galleries of Budva).
"The aim of these lectures and accompanying discussions was for the participants of the "Ethno lab" to get acquainted in a comprehensive way with various recent initiatives, projects and practices in the field of research, affirmation and protection of intangible cultural heritage in Montenegro: December 7, 2017 - Assoc. Vedrana Marković, Ph.D., music teacher (Music Academy of Montenegro) - possibilities of using Pashtra musical tradition in music pedagogy (solfeggio); 9/12/2017 - Milica Nikolić, M.Sc., ethnologist-anthropologist (Ministry of Culture of Montenegro) - normative framework for the protection of intangible of cultural heritage in Montenegro, and 9 December 12 - Aleksandra Kapetanović, specialist architect-conservator (NGO Center for Sustainable Development Expeditio, Kotor) - participatory process in the protection of cultural heritage, with special reference to examples from Boka Kotorska". it is stated in the announcement.
It is added that during the duration of the project, interviews were conducted with over twenty Paštrović and Paštrov women, as well as other fellow citizens living in the territory of the municipality of Budva, mostly middle-aged and elderly.
"On that occasion, they demonstrated parts of various customs that they practiced and still practice. Also, dozens of traditional songs that were performed in Paštrovići on various occasions (annual and life cycle of customs) were recorded, thus confirming the richness and diversity of the musical tradition of this region The project was particularly focused on documenting and archiving data on the former dance practice, so it can be said that a significant contribution was made in this sense, as it was proven that the Paštrovići and Paštrov women had a recognizable dance repertoire composed of traditional as well as modern dances. The researchers , within the framework of tours of Pashtra localities and familiarization with the tradition and heritage of this region, visited the Gradište, Reževići and Praskvica monasteries, as well as the "Red Commune" Memorial House and the "Reževići" Memorial House (JU Museums and Galleries of Budva), where they viewed permanent and current Some of the results of this project, apart from the collection of numerous data on the music and dance traditions and customs of Paštrović, which will be analyzed and published in the foreseeable future in a scientific and professional collection of works, are certainly an affirmation of this type of tradition, above all among the local population of various generation, which still needs to be worked on," the announcement states.
It is added to the plan to continue the research in the coming years, since this region has and nurtures a rich and representative intangible cultural heritage, the study of which, despite the knowledge and results so far, is yet to be multidisciplinary scientific study and valorization.
"The project "Ethno lab" was financially supported by the Municipality of Budva through the Contest for the distribution of funds to local non-governmental organizations for 2017, and financial and logistical support was also provided by the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva, HG Budvanska rivijera, Mediteran reklama doo, JU Museums and gallery of Budva, as well as from the family of Ilija and Marina Medin from Petrovac na Moru", according to the press release of the society for cultural development "Bauo".
