Marko Sekulić (33) from Budva and Borislav Beko (42) from Novlja, Marko Martinović (44) and Miloš Martinović (42) were arrested today in a police operation after inspectors searched their houses and found weapons.
This morning, the Montenegrin police, continuing the fight against organized criminal groups, conducted searches at a total of 19 locations used by OKG members, persons of security interest and persons close to them in the territory of Budva, Herceg Novi and Nikšić.
In the operation of the police in Budva, as "Vijesti" previously reported, Marko Sekulić (33) from Budva was arrested for illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
According to the Police Administration, BB (42) from that city was arrested in Herceg Novi.
During the searches, a large amount of weapons and ammunition, bombs, explosives, slow-burning sticks, vehicles, money, means of communication and other items were confiscated.
As the Police Administration said, seven people were detained in Herceg Novi.
"A person of security interest, BB (42) from Herceg Novi, who was found with a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives, was deprived of his liberty. He will be brought to the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica with a criminal complaint, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances, while the consultations with the competent prosecutor regarding their prosecution are ongoing in relation to the other persons brought into custody," the police announced.
During the search in that city, as they said, a large amount of weapons and other items were confiscated:
"1 automatic rifle with 100 bullets cal 7.62mm; 7 hand grenades "M75"; 1 pistol brand "CZ 99", with 15 pieces of ammunition cal 9mm; 1 hunting rifle so-called pumparica; 1 rifle so-called Italian; 1 rifle of unknown brand , without factory number; 18 pieces of pistol ammunition cal 7.62mm; 7 pieces of pistol ammunition cal 357; 28 pieces of combat ammunition of unknown caliber; 5 pieces of maneuver ammunition; 12 pieces of rifle ammunition; 1 TNT bullet; 1 rifle barrel; 1 explosive stick; 3 hand-held radio connections; money in the amount of 5.000 euros; several confirmations of receipt of money in the total amount of 13.350 euros; 1 metal box; 17 mobile phones and 10 SIM cards of different mobile operators and 3 high-class vehicles of the brand "BMW", "VW Toureg " and "Volvo", according to the police.
Searches of apartments and other premises used by MS, Ž.J, ER, NM, Lj.B. and L.Š. in Budva, in which Sekulić was arrested, were carried out at seven locations and on that occasion the following were found: a hunting rifle; improvised gun - remote control; more expensive watches; a certain amount of various ammunition; multiple cell phones; means of communication - Motorola; multiple knives; protective vest - bulletproof vest; as well as a schedule of monetary transactions.
"During searches of two locations in Nikšić, used by VK (62) from Nikšić, eight pieces of explosive charge with a total weight of about 800 grams and two coils of slow-burning stick were found and seized," added the police.
The subject explosives and sticks were seized from the VK and the case was reported to the state prosecutor at the ODT in Nikšić, who will make a statement on the qualification of the event.
