My late husband Dalibor Đurić told me that he was not on good terms with Dejan Pavićević, because he participated in the attempt to kill him in 2006. This was stated, among other things, by the husband of the murdered Đurić, Aleksandra Đurić, at the trial for the murder of a Kotor resident at the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, in September of last year.
Pavićević and Miloš Trbo are charged with having on September 22 of last year contributed to as yet unidentified persons to murder Đurić in a treacherous manner and out of self-interest in the Semi-Open Ward of the Spuž prison.
Đurić, testifying yesterday in the High Court, pointed out that her late husband told her that in 2006 Pavićević's godfather shot at him, and that the accused was driving and helped him escape then.
When asked by prosecutor Saša Čađenović, she stated that no one was held accountable for the 2006 event.
She added that the deceased Đurić told her and that he is sure that in 2015, while he was in prison, someone also shot at him.
"He told me that they were walking in the circle, that they heard a shot, when the guards took them back to their rooms, but that later they told them that the cartridge case was not found. He was sure that he was shot at, too," Đurić said.
Commenting on Pavićević's defense, she also added that her late husband could not have shot Pavićević ten years ago, because he was being treated in a hospital at the time.
Pavićević commented that in 2006 he was arrested 15 minutes after someone shot at the late Đurić, but that he was released after two days as unjustified detention.
The owner of the cafe in Danilovgrad, Darko Radonjić, where the accused were staying, said yesterday that the footage recorded by the accused was 45 to 50 minutes behind the real time, and that the exact time of their of staying in that tavern.
"The worker told me that there were some strange guests staying in the bar, that they were noisy, they broke the charger we lent them, so I went to check on the cameras who they were, when I saw that the time on the cameras was not good," he said. .
The indictment states that the defendants waited in a Danilovgrad cafe for the executor to liquidate Đurić, and then went to destroy the traces.
Pavićević's uncle Milosav Pavićević said yesterday that he does not remember the event very well, because more than a year has passed, and that he stands by what he said earlier.
Judge Dragoje Jović noted that the prosecution did not warn Pavićević's uncle that he did not have to testify, given that he is related to the accused.
In the prosecution, he said that on the evening when Đurić was killed, his nephew stopped by his place with someone else for half an hour, and that he was surprised when he came, because they did not see each other often.
However, he claimed yesterday that he did not describe Pavićević's friend to the prosecutor before, but that he said that he did not know who he was and that he did not remember what he looked like.
Čađenović pointed out that the testimony was calculated to ease the position of the accused, and that the witness twice gave the same description of the person who was with his cousin that evening.
The trial continues on January 25, when the other witnesses are scheduled to be heard.
The indictment states that the accused are part of a criminal group formed in May 2016, with the task of liquidating the now deceased member of the Skaljar clan.
It has not yet been revealed who the organizer is, but neither have the other members of that mafia group...
