As part of its Cultural Calendar for 2018, NVU "Novo i ljepše Sutomore" is organizing an independent exhibition of paintings by the distinguished Montenegrin painter Muharem Muratović tonight. Unlike the previous installations, which included large format works, this time Muratović prepared thirty small formats created mostly this year. Gina Masoničić, Ph.D., will open the exhibition at 19:XNUMX p.m. in the "Izvor" restaurant, and Milun Lutovac, MA, painter, publicist and professor, will talk about the author's creativity.
Muharem Muratović was born in 1950 in Mrkojevići, where he still lives and works. He graduated from the Pedagogical Academy-department for art education in 1972, and his paintings became a prominent part of private collections throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, and South America. He exhibited independently in Paris three times, Brussels, Nuremberg, Lisbon, Verviers, Ankara, Mezzanine, throughout the ex-Yu region.
According to the assessment of art critic Slobodan Slovinić, Muratović places an "irresistible and charming female creature" in the strict center of his creative-artistic researches, which at the same time anticipates the divine figure of the eternal martyr mother, the concept of the self-sacrificing sister, suffering daughter, devoted wife, "irresistible seductress and ravishing almswoman". .
