On November 8, the Montenegrin police, with the support of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, as part of the "Boka 3" operation, searched an apartment and other premises in Tivat used by several persons of security interest, the Police Administration announced.
"During the search, the following were found and confiscated: two vehicles; six mobile phones and several SIM cards from different mobile operators; three pieces of pistol ammunition cal 7.62mm; several packages - glass vials containing the narcotic drug methadone; 2.390 euros, which is suspected was acquired through the sale of narcotics, a scale for precise measurement; a metal box; and several items of greater value, which are suspected to have been handed over as collateral for narcotic drugs," the police administration said in a statement.
The announcement adds that after the search, three people were detained in the official premises for criminal processing.
"Based on consultations with the competent prosecutor's office, criminal charges will be filed against DI (30) from Tivat due to reasonable suspicion that she has committed criminal acts of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances and facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs," said the Police Administration.
They also state that the police, in the activities they carry out in the fight against organized crime, which are coordinated by the Criminal Police Sector, have, in seven actions carried out since the beginning of October, searched 104 locations in the south and north, and that in locations used by members organized criminal groups (OKG) and persons close to them.
"A large number of persons were detained. Firearms and ammunition, cold weapons, expensive cars, drugs, means of communication, contracts and other documents, money and other things were confiscated. Several persons were deprived of their liberty due to criminal offenses related to green-dealing, illegal possession weapons and abuse of narcotic drugs. Everything that was seized will be examined at the Forensic Center in order to determine the origin, i.e. possible connection with the crimes committed. The activities of the police to detect, prevent and suppress organized crime continue," the statement concludes.
