"Officials of the Police Directorate of the MUP - Herceg Novi Security Center today, in coordination with the officers of the Criminal Police Sector and the Department for the Fight against Drugs, in the continuation of the "Boka" operation, deprived two persons of their freedom due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that they had committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances," the Police Administration announced.
It is added that the action is aimed at members of organized criminal groups (OKG) and persons of security interest (PIL).
"Namely, the officers of CB Herceg Novi are in coordination with the officers of the Criminal Police Sector and the Department for the fight against drugs, on November 08.11.2017, 36, and in coordination by the order of the state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office and by the previously obtained order of the judge for the investigation of the Basic Court in Herceg Novi, conducted a search of the apartment and other premises used by JM (39) from Herceg Novi. During the search, two persons of security interest, GF (42) and DK (33) from Herceg Novi, were found on the spot. During the search, the police officers also found seized 57 rounds of rifle ammunition of various calibers, one hand grenade of black color "M32", a rifle of unknown brand and caliber, two bayonets, a box, a retractable metal club, two empty pistol frames, a bolt from a rifle and one grenade, most likely from a hand-held rocket After the criminal investigation, it was determined that one round of pistol ammunition, two empty pistol frames, one grenade, most likely from a manual rocket launcher, a retractable metal club, a bolt from a rifle, two bayonets and a metal box belong to JM, while 57 pieces of rifle ammunition , a rifle of an unknown brand and caliber and an "MXNUMX" hand grenade belong to DK," said the UP.
It is added that the ammunition and explosive devices in question will be sent to the Forensic Center for expert examination.
"The state prosecutor in the ODT in Herceg Novi was informed about the event, who ordered that JM and DK be deprived of their liberty and brought to him with a criminal complaint due to the existence of a well-founded suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances. Officers of the Police Directorate, in the activities carried out in the fight against organized crime and coordinated by the Criminal Police Sector, in six actions carried out in the previous month, searches were carried out at 103 locations in the south and north, namely at locations used by OKG members and persons close to them. A large number of persons were detained. Firearms and ammunition, cold weapons, expensive cars, drugs, means of communication, contracts and other documents, money and other things were confiscated. Several persons were deprived of their freedom for criminal offenses related to green-dealing, illegal possession of weapons. and abuse of narcotic drugs. Everything that was confiscated will be examined at the Forensic Center in order to determine the origin, i.e. possible connection with the committed crimes," said the UP.
They add that the activities of the police to detect, prevent and suppress organized crime continue.
