The investigating judge of the High Court, Vladimir Novović, terminated the detention of Vlatko Baji Rašović, the driver of the president of the Atlas Group, who is suspected of money laundering.
According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", his detention was terminated after the prosecution heard two witnesses on the circumstances of the actions he was accused of.
"After the hearing of the two remaining witnesses, I and my colleague Marko Radović submitted a proposal to the investigating judge to cancel custody and he accepted it," one of Rašović's defense attorneys, lawyer Velibor Marković, told "Vijesta".
A few days earlier, Novović canceled the detention of Goran Grujović, Natko Peličić, Predrag Pejović, Dražen Vujisić and Vlado Stevanović, who were arrested at the end of September on suspicion of laundering $2016 in October 96.000.
The president of Atlas Group, Duško Knežević, previously called on the police and the prosecutor's office not to harass his employees, stating that the money is his and that he has proof of its origin.
