Police officers recently searched the suspended colleague Zlatko Samardžić, but did not beat him.

This is what the Police Administration claims, stating that they controlled a suspected member of the Kavac criminal clan in the Boka operation.

Sources close to Samardžić claim that masked special forces then beat the suspended police officer, because he allegedly told them that they had no right to search him.

Unofficial sources from the police state, however, that the man from Tivat actually unsuccessfully tried to provoke an attack on himself.

"It is incorrect that the police officers physically assaulted ZS during the control... It is true that the suspended ZS police officer, against whom a criminal complaint was filed under the jurisdiction of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and who was accordingly suspended until the end of the criminal proceedings, was controlled in Kotor during the execution of the "Boka" operation. On that occasion, police officers inspected ZS and the vehicle he was driving, in order to possibly find illegal items and items," the Police Directorate officially responded.

The institution explained that after the control, Samrdžić drove away in a vehicle.

He was arrested on September 12, 2016 in Kotor, and after a month he admitted to the prosecutors that he abused his official position and informed the criminal clan when the police would take action.

A few months later, he "rescinded" his plea deal with prosecutors before a judge, claiming he had admitted to things he didn't do.

Recently, the indictment was confirmed, with which the Special Prosecutor's Office accuses him of enabling two alleged members of the Kavac clan to arrange a defense, informing them and warning them to beware or run away if there was a possibility of being detained, which is why they were always one step ahead of the prosecuting authorities.

The case against former Kotor police commander Samardžić will be merged with the one in which members of the Kavac criminal clan, led by Slobodan Kašćelan and Igor Božović, are accused.

Kašćelan, Božović and the accused Vladimir Božović, Miloš Radonjić, Siniša Vlahović, Aleksandar Đurišić, Igor Đurišić aka Major and Davor Prelević are on the run.

Ilija Dedović from Kotoran, whose plea agreement was previously rejected by the High Court, Nikola Andrić, Igor Andrić, Tripo Moškov, Goran Ljubatović, Stefan Brnović, Aleksandra Bogdanović and Đerđa Camaj are also on trial in that proceeding.

According to the indictment of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Kašćelan and Božović organized the "Kavčani" criminal group, which dealt in drugs, racketeering, money laundering, and money laundering. The indictment charged them with bribery, selling drugs, illegal possession of weapons, money laundering, serious crime against general security...
