The accused Miloš Ceković (32) canceled the power of attorney to the legal counsel, dissatisfied with the quality of the representation, which is why the trial of four men for the robbery of the Beraska branch of Prva banka was postponed.
Ceković, Filip Marjanović (19), Milan Brkić (18) and Goran Milašinović (39) are responsible for the robbery of the Prva banka branch in Berane, from which they stole 161.036 euros in March.
Ceković canceled the power of attorney to the ex officio lawyer - Jelena Kljajević.
"In four months, she visited me only four times, and she asked me to confess something because, as she explained, that is the only way for me to pass well," said Ceković.
After his request, judge Vukomir Bošković stopped the trial, giving him one month to hire another lawyer and prepare his defense.
According to the indictment, on March 13, the four of them took 161.036,10 euros from the branch of Prva banka, while threatening employees and clients with death.
They are said to have acted according to a pre-planned plan, with divided roles...
"After getting to know the streets of Beran and concocting a plan for robbery and escape, they went to a side street from where Brkić and Marjanović came out masked and entered the bank with phantoms on their heads shouting: 'Lie down, money, faster. Brkić pointed a gun at the heads of counter workers Milena Bakić and Valentina Veković, and Alen Skenderović and branch manager Petar Bismiljak, ordering them to lie down because he was going to kill them. During that time, Marjanović forced Vesna Kastratović to unlock the vault, firing one shot into the air. After taking the money, they ran to a side street where Ceković and Milašinović were waiting for them," the prosecution document states.
It says that Milašinović took EUR 132.336,10 by dividing the loot at the exit of Beran, while EUR 14.500 was found with Brkić and Marjanović after their arrest in Rozaje.
An hour after the robbery, Brkić and Marjanović were arrested in Rozaje, while Baranin Milašinović was arrested on July 3rd in Bar, at the same time as Ceković.
He is an alleged member of the Pink Panther international diamond looting group.
Cyprus issued a warrant for Milašinović for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit crimes.
