"Leader" Miodrag Šćepanović in Paris

The academic sculptor from Kolašin, Miodrag Šćepanović, is participating in the October "Autumn Salon" in Paris on the Champs Elysées.

This year, the Salon will bring together around 900 artists from 45 countries and more than a thousand works (canvases, photographs, drawings, graphics, works of applied art) will be exhibited, of which 104 are sculptures. Sculptor from Kolašin, Miodrag Šćepanović, exhibits the sculpture "Leader".

The quality and authenticity of works of art are the only criteria for participation in the Salon. The president of the "Autumn Salon", sculptor Silvija Koešlin, met with Šćepanović and congratulated him on "Predvodnik".

Šćepanović is the winner of this year's "Thirteenth of July Award", the "Paul Belmondo" award at the Autumn Salon in Paris in 2006, the "Michel Dimon" award at the Salon of French Artists "Grand Palais" in Paris in 2012, the bronze medal at the same salon in 2014, the " Lubarda, Stijović, Milunović" ULUCG 2003, FLU awards in Belgrade in 1983 and others. He had more than 20 solo exhibitions, both in the country and abroad, and participated in about 20 collective exhibitions.

The "Autumn Salon" has existed since 1903, and the initiator was the architect Franz Jourden. From then until today, the Salon has presented works of all artistic styles and the biggest names in art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Some of the artists whose works were in the Salon are: Picasso, Cézanne, Dali, Modigliani, Braque, Chagall, sculptures by: Majol, Bourdella, Rodin, and others. Last year's Salon was seen by more than 30.000 visitors.
