Even after three years, the investigators have not determined whether and who stole 30 pistols from "Montenegro Airlines", and the former leader of that state-owned company says that he cannot remember who borrowed all the weapons, but that he knows that they were acquired because of the fight. against terrorism.
Since 2014, the Podgorica Basic State Prosecutor's Office has been investigating the disappearance of the arsenal, which for years was registered as the property of the national airline.
"The case is in the investigation phase, and in order to protect the interests of the proceedings, we cannot disclose more information," the prosecutor's office replied to "Vijesta".
In June 2014, "Montenegro Airlines" filed a criminal complaint due to the disappearance of the gun.
According to the report, officers of the Security Sector of that company found eight, while the remaining 30 pistols were missing.
The application states that the pistols were purchased in the period from 2001 to 2003, in the period when the company was headed by Zoran Đurišić.
Đurišić stated that the application of the new management of "Montenegro Airlines" was rejected as unfounded, but the current management replied that they had no "feedback from the prosecution".
“As far as I remember, it was 15 years ago. There was a bombing, we were flying to Pristina and we were transporting deportees on Pristina - Germany flights... Ten special forces accompanied those flights. There was an agreement to acquire weapons for those needs and some quantity was acquired. As I recall - glocks. This was done in cooperation with the then Ministry of Internal Affairs", said Đurišić.
He said that he borrowed two, and the other pistols from the security men.
"The guns were borrowed by the people who followed the planes. There was terrorism, planes were followed, flights between Pristina and Germany, you remember that then immigrants strangled the stewardess on the plane. It was after September 11 in New York. It was the same in Podgorica. That was the reason to acquire weapons," he said.
The former head of the MA claims that he later "lost sight" of who borrowed the pistols and how.
"I took two, which I later returned and I don't know what their further fate will be. One smaller, one larger. I had something deducted from my paycheck for those guns. I can't remember if any of the employees took the guns, maybe they did. I know they were obtained legally. They were procured by the Security Sector in cooperation with the MUP, it was a synchronized action," said Đurišić.
According to available information, MA representatives bought 33 pistols from the Montenegrin Ministry of Internal Affairs and another five from the companies Eugel Plus from Podgorica and Good comerce from Podgorica.
The weapon was purchased from the MUP in April 2003.
These are pistols of the brand "Glock 17", "Glock 192" and "Glock 26".
In 2001, the airline company bought a Colt brand revolver and three Beretta FS-92 pistols, as well as an MC738, from Podgorica companies.
The MUP did not answer "Vijesti" whether they checked how the pistols were sold to MA and whether they determined why the airline company bought them.

Đurišić said that the new management of Montenegro Airlines filed a criminal complaint due to the disappearance of the weapon, because they had "nothing else to manipulate".
"The team was manipulated by the new management, because they had nothing else to do, so they dealt with the team, something that was done 15 years ago. I don't know what happened next, I have information, I can give you a decision on the rejection of the application, which says that everything was done in accordance with the law and that the pistols were acquired through the MUP", he said.
Pistols are not that important to Đurišić
Đurišić commented that it would be good for journalists to deal with the story of how the new management of the national airline "gambled" millions of euros.
"I think it is worse for the state that 60.000.000 euros were destroyed in four years. As a journalist, you are not interested in investigating it, but you are interested in why the pistols were obtained according to the law. "You are not interested in the fact that 60 million euros of taxpayers' money was destroyed," said Đurišić yesterday.
