"Officials of CB Podgorica shed light on four criminal acts of serious theft and on that occasion identified and deprived DK (27) from Podgorica of his liberty, due to the suspicion that during June, July and August of this year he committed these criminal acts to the detriment of four natural persons. DK, as it is suspected, he committed these crimes by running up to women twice in Sava Kovačevića Boulevard, and once in Bratstva i Jedinstva Street and Osmog Marta Street, and forcibly snatching valuable gold chains from their necks, after which he would fled in an unknown direction. It is suspected that he misappropriated a total of around 250 grams of gold, which he later sold," the police said in a statement.
The state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed about the event, who ordered that DK be deprived of his liberty and brought into custody with a criminal charge due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed four crimes of aggravated theft.
After questioning the person, the state prosecutor made a decision to detain him in police premises until he is brought before the competent judge for investigation, due to the suspicion that he has committed the above-mentioned criminal acts.
